Tourist visa

Common information:

1. Visa processing time starts only after submitting all required documents and payment of a visa fee.
2. Decision regarding the issuing of a visa is taken only after individual interview with applicant, who must come personally.
3. Visa processing time can be 4-20 working days (regular basis). Holidays and day-offs are not included. Visa processing fee is not refundable even in case of refusal.
4. All documents and payment can be submitted on Monday, Wednesday or Friday: 09:00 am – 11:50 am.
5. Visa delivery time: Monday, Wednesday or Friday: 09:00 am – 11:50 am.
6. Upon receipt of your visa, please carefully check it for possible mistakes (name, gender, passport number, term of validity etc.) and, if necessary, return your passport to the Consular Section for corrections at the earliest.
7. The Consular Section will not bear responsibility for any mistakes in visas, which were not brought to its attention prior to departure from Zimbabwe or Malawi.
8. The Consular Section has the right to refuse a visa without explanations.

For obtaining Tourist Visa the following documents are to be submitted:

1. Duly filled-in Visa Application Form (You should fill it here: https://visa.kdmid.ru/
2. One professional passport sized photo (3,5 x 4,5 cm). The photo should be glued (not stapled or attached using adhesive tape) to the specially marked place of the application form.
3. Tourist voucher from a licensed Russian travel agent (original). A tourist voucher IS NOT hotel booking. It is issued only by certified Russian travel agents (for more information on obtaining a voucher please contact your hotel in Russia). Item «Russian host organization» of the application form must contain the name of the said agent and its Reference Number (MBT).
4. Confirmation of reception from a licensed Russian travel agency (original). This document is issued together with the tourist voucher by the travel agent and should contain the following data:
5. confirmation number.
6. number of entries.
7. full name, date of birth, sex, citizenship and passport number of the tourist.
8. duration of stay (dates of entry and exit).
9. purpose of visit (specified by the current Russian legislation).
10. itinerary and places of accommodation.
11. receiving organization’s address and its MVT.
12. signature of an authorized person of the tour agency and its official seal.

1. Valid Passport and copies of its first two pages. Passport should be valid at least for 6 months after an expected visa expiry date with two empty (without any stamps, messages, etc.) pages facing each other.
2. Confirmed air tickets (in and out).
3. A document giving a foreign citizen (non-Zimbabwe’s or Malawi’s nationals) the right to continuously stay in Zimbabwe or in Malawi for more than 90 days if he applies not in the country of his citizenship.
4. Payment of visa fee (in cash).

Attention!

The Consular Section of the Embassy also has the right to request, if needed, the following:

• a bank statement from the applicant.
• a statement from the employer regarding the applicant's wages for the preceding year/ half year, or month.
• documents regarding the applicant's ownership of property in the country of his citizenship.
• a certificate on the makeup of the applicant's family.
• confirmed air tickets (in and out).
