On the Open International Biology Olympiad (OIBO)

Zimbabwe and Malawi National school teams are invited to participate in the Open International Biology Olympiad (OIBO), which will be held in May 10-17, 2025
in Sochi, Russia.

OIBO is an international biology competition organized by the Sirius Federal Territory and Educational Fund “Talent and Success” with the support of the Ministry of Education. The Olympiad is aimed at developing biological and biotechnological education at schools, as well as at strengthening international cooperation in the educational sphere.

Students aged 14 to 18 inclusive can participate in teams of 2 to 6 members. Each team can be accompanied by one leader and up to two observers. The competition consists of three rounds: theoretical, practical and project presentation.

Tasks are provided in Russian and English.

Registration is open on the official Olympiad website https://oibo.siriusolymp.ru until April 20, 2025.

The Russian Side provides accommodation and meals for leaders and teams.
