Russian Ambassador Meets Zimbabwean Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade

On December 10, 2019 Ambassador of the Russian Federation H.E. Mr. Nikolai Krasilnikov paid a courtesy call to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of the Republic of Zimbabwe Hon. David Musabayana. A profound discussion on the prospects of Russia-Zimbabwe relations took place with the emphasis on strengthening coordination in the international arena and amplifying practical interaction in the areas of mining, energy, information and communication technologies. The commitments of Moscow and Harare were reaffirmed to fulfill the engagements made during the official visit of the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe H.E. Cde. E.Mnangagwa to Russia in January this year and also at the 3d meeting of the Russian-Zimbabwean Intergovernmental Commission for Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation in August this year.

It was highlighted that the active participation of the Zimbabwean Delegation in Russia-Africa Summit and Economic Forum contributed to a further progressive development of the bilateral ties.
