The Russian Ambassador meets the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of the Republic of Zimbabwe


On February 27, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Zimbabwe H.E. Nikolai Krasilnikov paid a visit to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Zimbabwe, Professor Amon Murwira.

This meeting marks another step forward in the growing relationship between Russia and Zimbabwe. The discussion centered around enhancing bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the two countries. A range of development initiatives, ongoing exchanges of ideas and joint efforts in the international arena were highlighted.

“A high-level delegation of several cabinet ministers visited Russia to exchange knowledge in their respective areas and to gain first-hand knowledge for their Russian counterparts and in relation to the Mbare Musika rehabilitation as part of our various MOUs. This year also culminates the conclusion of our MOU in health and we have seen the support of Russian doctors coming to Zimbabwe in fighting cholera,” pointed out the Russian Ambassador.

Nikolai Krasilnikov mentioned that he deliberated with the Minister on the state of relations between Russia and the United States since President Donald Trump assumed office.
